How it all began.

Hi, I'm Chechu Sánchez and I'm behind Komcoffe.

I want to thank you for being here and I want you to know that you are in the right place if you are looking for a good coffee.

On a trip I discovered something I had never tried before, it's called specialty coffee, it gets its name because it's special, ... very special. It has become one of my perfect accomplices for good times.

This coffee is not just for drinking, it is for living. It is the perfect ally for good times, with friends, coworkers, on trips or in life.

It is aligned with your demands, offering quality, traceability and transparency in its production process and fair trade. It boosts creativity, your daily concern and has become the perfect excuse for memorable events with the family around a cup.

Goodbye bitter coffee.

We have set out to banish bad roasted coffee with sugar, burnt, acidic and bitter from our daily routine and to embrace, make known and spread to the greatest number of people that specialty coffee is the result of a selection process to select the best beans and a natural medium roast (without sugar) with great art, to appreciate all its nuances. Joan, our roaster, with more than 40 years of experience in the art of roasting, continues to do it in a traditional way, giving a unique character to each batch.

We started in 2021 with the purpose of popularizing good coffee, we have focused on being accessible, which is why we started in digital format. In 2022 we opened sales to gourmet stores and now we collaborate with specialty coffee shops. Therefore, we take care of and focus our attention on every detail from packaging to customer service!

What's so special about specialty coffee?

A Specialty Coffee is defined as an artisanal quality of coffee, judged by a consumer in a limited market, who appreciates a unique and personalized quality and taste , different from other coffee drinks on offer.

What are the characteristics of specialty coffee?

Specialty coffee is a term that encompasses a category of high-quality coffee, characterized by its exceptional flavor, aroma and sensory profile . It is distinguished from commercial coffee by its careful selection of beans, sustainable cultivation practices, meticulous processing and artisanal roasting.

How to know if coffee is specialty?

Only coffees that obtain a score greater than 80 will be considered specialty.

  1. 90 to 100 points -> Exquisite specialty coffee .
  2. 85 to 89 points -> Excellent specialty coffee .
  3. 80 to 84 points -> Very good specialty coffee .
  4. < 80 points -> Good quality coffee , but not specialty .

Why drink specialty coffee?

Buying good coffee not only gives you your caffeine fix, it also supports the coffee world. The Arabica variety is the healthiest. A higher quality coffee will be better for you and your health. Coffee not only makes us happy, it is also a great source of antioxidants, is a natural antidepressant, reduces the risk of heart failure and contributes to reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes.

We even want our community to be able to create an entire forest; a forest is considered to have 500 trees or more.
